Finding Inspiration All Around Us
Our Story

GhostLight Players began with the simple idea of bringing our love of theatre and performing to the Ocean/Monmouth/Burlington county area.
While there are community theatres all around the Jersey Shore, there are still more opportunities for producing high quality entertainment for the local audiences and we wish to fulfill that promise and grow into a community staple for generations to come.

Below, you will meet out current Board of Directors - but this is only a few of the many talent performers and creative talents both in front of and behind the curtain. If you wish to join our team in any capacity, please feel free to reach out to us or come out and audition for one of many productions.

OR... if you just want to experience the community theatre experience, but don't fell comfortable performing, there are many "behind the scenes" positions available.

We welcome ALL and EVERYONE!!!

Come out and play we us!!!

Founding and operating a community theatre company has always been a life long passion and she cannot wait to get started making magic!
Christopher Berry (Marketing Director)
I can’t think of anything in my adult life so far that has given me such joy as the privilege of acting or performing in community theatre. Born and raised in the state of New Jersey, my experience started with summer camp productions, staged at East Brunswick High School when I was five years old.
I’ve always had an interest in acting since my early childhood participating in those fun summer
romps like Aladdin Jr. and Mary Poppins Jr. But it wasn’t until my time as a high-school student at EBHS, where I joined the drama club there; that is where I officially caught “the bug” and I haven’t looked back much since. Even when I wasn’t a part of the ensemble, I put in time as a crew hand because I wanted to help and be immersed in this performative art in what way I could. Before becoming a high-school graduate, I steadily started to become involved with community theatre outside of school. During college, I spent most of the next 10 years after high school doing shows in First Avenue Playhouse in Atlantic Highlands, taking on more supporting parts to eventually a few leading roles; dedicating countless hours whenever possible just to give the best performance.
For the last three years, I have made it a mission to branch out to other theatre companies around the state, to work with new directors, get back into musicals again and see what community theatre opportunities are out there. For 15 consecutive years, I have been no stranger to acting, singing and, when necessary, a little bit of dancing. I never had any formal training for any of this, except one short-lived improv class and a few semesters of classes in college. Built myself up by just taking shows head on, fueled by the passion to do them and learning my craft as I go along. I can say for certain that I have developed a firm, natural talent with the first two things! Recent roles include Lumiere in ‘Beauty and The Beast”, Barnette Lloyd in “Crimes of the Heart” and Andrew Rally in “I Hate Hamlet”.
Not until I found the Little Egg Harbor theater group who produced “I Hate Hamlet” just last year, where I met John and Kim Correll, the founding leaders of “Ghostlight Players”. I’m excited to see what my future in theatre awaits me as Marketing Director, spreading the word in our community of our upcoming endeavors, and continuing to bring joy, heartbreak and laughter to the patrons yet to come.

Matthew Gochman (Creative Director)
As a veteran of the community theatre scene, Matt has performed in over 100 productions throughout NJ since 2012. He's happy to be part of the Ghostlight Board, which consists of several of his theatre peers. In addition to acting, he's also directed several productions, and he's hoping to get more and more experience working behind the scenes, as well as gain a better understanding of what it takes for a successful theatre company to grow and thrive.
